The Peak Stars
2005 - 2006 Team

Peak Stars Cheerleading is Peak Athletics cheer team for individuals with
special needs. Since it's inception in 2003, the team has grown to 29 athletes from all over the Denver Metro Area and includes athletes ranging
from 12 to 20 years of age.
The Stars perform at most of the competitions in which the cheer teams
compete, sharing with the community their special style of cheering! The
effort these athletes put into their practices and the excitement they feel when they get to perform is contagious. |
The Stars are coached by Sarah Montgomery, Kyle Kelley, Emily Jasso and
several volunteers from Peak's Elite cheerleading team. These athletes are
not only improving their skills physically, but socially and emotionally.
Belonging to a team, having responsibility and enjoying friendships prove to
be just as important to the athletes and their families as the cheering
itself.
