As the Golden Quarter gets underway, Debenhams Group — home to PrettyLittleThing, boohoo, boohooMAN, Karen Millen and Debenhams — has introduced a new artificial intelligence solution to help manage sales, stock and pricing more effectively across its brands.

By combining information on stock, pricing and promotions, it gives teams a clearer view of demand and performance, helping them respond quickly as shopping patterns shift through the season.

The new agentic AI solution is the latest step in Debenhams Group’s investment in innovation to improve efficiency and agility. It can predict and guide decisions, and act on them autonomously, saving the merchandising team time each month and increasing the speed and accuracy of decision making across brands.

By providing teams with better insights and enabling more timely decisions, the approach is helping to strengthen planning and coordination across the Group in the run-up to Black Friday and the festive shopping season. Debenhams Group first partnered with Peak, a UiPath company, in June to explore how AI could enhance product pricing and promotions.

As a digital-first retailer, we’re embracing AI to make smarter, faster decisions that simplify our operations and enhance the customer experience. This technology will transform how we manage stock and pricing — especially during the busy festive season — and help us continue to deliver great value and service across all our brands.

Dan Finley

CEO, Debenhams Group

The future of retail belongs to intelligent AI systems — ones that will optimise decision making and take action alongside the business team. By bringing this level of agentic AI innovation to market, Debenhams Group is setting the benchmark for how technology can transform retail performance today.

Peak, a UiPath company, today announced the launch of its new agentic AI solutions — featuring Agentic Merchandising, Agentic Inventory Management, and Agentic Commercial Pricing.

Together, the solutions mark a new era of AI in practice, where autonomous agents are driving measurable outcomes for retailers and manufacturers.

Unlike traditional AI tools that only surface data or recommendations, Peak’s agentic solutions are built to predict, decide, and act autonomously in complex real-world environments. This represents a major shift away from reactive, dashboard-led approaches, towards proactive, AI optimization at scale.

Commenting on the launch, Richard Potter, CEO and co-founder of Peak, said: “This new era in AI technologies, built on large language models, offers unprecedented potential for businesses to increase their own performance. At the same time, businesses are under enormous pressure to adapt quickly to growing operational complexity, market volatility, changing demand and supply chain disruptions.

“Our agentic AI solutions give our customers the ability to optimize and automate every complex commercial decision in their business — from moving products around their network, to pricing their products perfectly, to managing demand. Together, these capabilities are allowing them to drive increased performance while dealing with this ever-changing business environment we face today.”

Agentic Merchandising: efficiency and agility for retail teams

Agentic Merchandising enables retailers to optimize the entire merchandising lifecycle — from supplier, to distribution center, to store. The solution enhances product lifecycle management across buying, pricing, promotions, allocation, and markdown. By balancing revenue, margin, and inventory goals while reducing manual work, it empowers retailers to respond to market trends with speed and agility.

Agentic Inventory Management: building resilient supply chains

Agentic Inventory Management continuously optimizes inventory decisions across procurement, production and fulfillment. By applying predictive planning and intelligent trade-off analysis, businesses can improve service levels, maximize value, and build smarter, more resilient supply chains.

The Hain Celestial Group, owners of food brands such as Ella’s Kitchen and Hartley’s, is among the first to adopt the solution. James Cranfield, Vice President International Supply Chain at Hain Celestial Group, said: “Working with Peak is helping us build a smarter, more resilient supply chain. By using Agentic Inventory Management, we’re able to anticipate and respond to demand volatility more effectively, ensuring our customers get the products they love while reducing inefficiencies across our operations.”

Agentic Commercial Pricing: resilience in volatile markets

Agentic Commercial Pricing manages all commercial pricing decisions — including list prices and catalog optimization, real-time quotes, and a new bid writing and response capability. By learning from the best bids and intelligently optimizing pricing strategies, enterprises can improve conversion rates, deal velocity, and win rates across the entire quote-to-cash process. The result: faster, sharper pricing decisions that protect margins and boost competitiveness in volatile markets.

George Foster-Jones, Commercial Finance Director at Speedy Hire, added: “We’ve been huge believers in AI to optimize the performance of our operations and commercial activities for several years. Now, with the advances in agentic AI, we can take this even further. Our vision is to have specialized AIs, such as Peak’s Agentic Commercial Pricing, working alongside our teams to optimize every price we set. This ensures our customers always get the best possible offer and service from Speedy.”

Debenhams Group — home to brands including PrettyLittleThing, Boohoo, BoohooMAN, Karen Millen and Debenhams — has implemented AI at scale to optimize product pricing and promotions.

  • Leading brands within the Debenhams Group portfolio, including PrettyLittleThing, BoohooMAN, Karen Millen and Debenhams, have introduced AI to overhaul their pricing and promotion strategies
  • The implementation of AI has driven an uplift in sales, gross margins and cash flow across the Group
  • AI specialist platform Peak, a UiPath company, has partnered with Debenhams Group to enhance the Group’s pricing strategy

The Group has partnered with Peak, the AI platform from UiPath, to roll out intelligent automation across its brand portfolio. The system enables real-time, automated pricing for thousands of SKUs, replacing manual processes with faster, more precise and data-driven decision making.

This AI-driven approach allows Debenhams Group to respond more effectively to changing demand, seasonal trends, and inventory levels. This means that the Group is better placed to protect margins, minimize excess stock, and deliver more competitive pricing to customers.

To improve the customer experience, pricing and promotions are now more relevant and timelier, with discounts tailored to individual product performance rather than broad, catch-all campaigns. This approach keeps pricing aligned with actual demand — enhancing both customer satisfaction and commercial impact.

Boost to margins and operational agility

With the implementation of Peak’s AI pricing capabilities, hours previously spent managing spreadsheets are now redirected toward developing smarter strategies that support the Group’s growth and ambition to become a leaner, faster and more technology-advanced retail business.

Historically, manual efforts resulted in reactive, trial-and-error markdown cycles. The new system ensures more efficient product movement through clearance, reducing terminal stock buildup and improving cash flow.

With this technology, we’ve fundamentally changed how we approach pricing. AI gives us the ability to make smarter decisions at speed, ensuring our promotions deliver the best value for our growing customer base and driving both business performance as well as the customer experience.

Dan Finley

CEO, Debenhams Group

This project illustrates how retailers can harness AI to enhance — not replace — human capability. This implementation has turned a pricing bottleneck into a competitive advantage and set a new benchmark for tech-led retail transformation. Our work with Debenhams Group demonstrates the power of AI to drive real commercial outcomes, not just through automation, but by enabling smarter, faster decision making.

Peak is delighted to announce an exciting new partnership with leading retailer Boden.

As retailers continue to look for new revenue streams amid a challenging economic backdrop, Peak, the AI platform that optimizes product inventory and pricing, has partnered with Boden to optimize the trading capability of merchandisers.

Boden has undergone an ambitious modernisation process over the last ten years, with its team continually looking for ways to build and maintain a best-in-class tech ecosystem. As such, Boden turned to Peak to analyze its pricing structure, specifically selecting Peak due to the speed of integration and its ability to go to market immediately given their proven integration with Snowflake.

Boden has undergone significant modernization over the last five years. Having modernized our core platforms we are now looking for opportunities where we can invest in providers that are quick to implement, low-risk and deliver high impact. Peak has proven to do exactly that, with its AI-powered insights helping us during critical sales moments. It’s an excellent tool in our arsenal and one we’re already starting to use for future sales moments.

Alexander Ives

Senior Director of Technology of Boden

Over a six-week period, Peak’s AI platform scrutinized Boden’s historic pricing and customer spending habits to pinpoint where the retailer could adjust to increase sales.

Implemented alongside the retailer’s planned sale moments — the brand uses markdown to clear seasonal lines through which it typically clears 10% of its stock —pricing recommendations resulted in margin gains and directly impacted profitability.

The intention is for Boden to adopt Peak’s AI platform more broadly as a key part of its integrated tech stack, optimizing broader merchandising decisions as the landscape continues to shift for retailers.

With economic hardship, global supply chain issues and changing customer habits, retailers are having to tackle multiple challenges. AI has a huge role to play in facilitating fast decision making at scale to alleviate these challenges. It’s what we help retailers to do, day in, day out: boost margins whilst delivering great deals for customers.

Artificial intelligence company Peak today announced the general availability of Co:Driver, its agentic AI assistant.

Co:Driver combines the power of large language models (LLMs) with each business’ unique data and the outputs generated from their existing Peak predictive AI products to unlock productivity across a business.

Peak is used by global industry leaders, including Nike, Molson Coors, Marshalls and Eurocell. Its AI products optimize inventories and pricing using predictive AI methods, such as machine learning algorithms and statistical models, to forecast trends, patterns and predictions from each business’ unique data set. Co:Driver applies an LLM-powered assistive interface to a business’ predictive AI outputs to speed up decision making, highlight opportunities and automate routine tasks.

AI agents achieve human-set goals by interacting with their environment to collect data, which is then used to perform pre-determined tasks. Using rational decision making, AI agents independently choose the best actions to perform to achieve optimal performance. Co:Driver uses such agentic workflows to continually surface business-specific, actionable recommendations and allows users to interrogate their business data, analyze and better understand their AI using natural language question-answer capabilities.

AI in a business setting must deliver a competitive advantage, delivering value in the form of both performance and productivity gains. Co:Driver gives much needed context to the power of generative AI. It’s the perfect companion for business teams to drive optimal performance on repetitive tasks while freeing up time to spend on creative, strategic or mission-critical activities. Co:Driver empowers every business to achieve superhuman results.

Richard Potter

CEO & co-founder at Peak

Co:Driver has three core functionalities centered on product support, data exploration and explainability of AI-generated outputs.

Facilitating AI upskilling

Users can ask Co:Driver questions in natural language about how to use Peak’s AI platform. As Co:Driver has been trained on Peak’s user guides and onboarding documents, users will receive specific instructions on how to carry out the requested task. With this conversational in-platform user support, Co:Driver users receive an enhanced user experience and are supported in their development of AI skills.

Increasing AI-driven decision making

Co:Driver empowers users to ask questions of their data to surface insights that would previously take hours of manual interpretation or be missed entirely. For example, ‘what’s the average lead time on SKU567?’ or ‘what are my top 10 understocked SKUs in Germany?’. With this capability, businesses can understand their critical areas of focus, enabling them to make decisions that will move the needle on their business objectives.

The next release of Co:Driver will further enhance decision-making by continuously searching for information, efficiencies and anomalies of potential interest to the user, which are surfaced as bite-sized recommendations, with the user then able to choose their preferred next step from a number of AI-generated actions.

Enhancing explainability and trust

In Co:Driver’s conversational interface, users can ask questions to more clearly understand why a prediction has been made, such as ‘why is SKU9174 priced at $1.50 per unit?’. Co:Driver then provides the user with an explanation detailing the calculations or parameters that have led to the prediction.

Helping team members to understand and trust the results of AI should be a priority for business leaders as it naturally supports adoption of AI, in turn resulting in a virtuous cycle, where teams make more AI-powered decisions, see the positive outcomes that come from them and free up time to focus on strategic or creative tasks.

Following a period of extensive testing with our customers, the release of Co:Driver into general availability marks an important milestone in Peak’s product development. We continue to invest across our product suite to bring our customers cutting-edge AI solutions and have recently made key upgrades to both our Pricing AI and Inventory AI products.
